Fahad Nadeem

Fahad Nadeem

Head Fund Fellow

Before coming to Wharton, Fahad was an Equity Research Associate at Goldman Sachs on the Natural Resources team. There, he covered Energy Services, with a focus on equipment and service providers to the oil & gas, electric utility, and renewable generation end-markets. Prior to Goldman, Fahad worked at AIG in corporate strategy and M&A. Fahad graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics. Over the summer, Fahad interned as an equity analyst at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore and Fuller & Thaler in San Francisco.

Peter Lally

Peter Lally

Director of Trading & Performance

Prior to coming to Wharton, Peter worked for L Catterton, a consumer oriented private equity firm, where he served as an associate. While at L Catterton, he worked all across the consumer category including cruise lines, fitness concepts, HVAC/plumbing services, among countless others. Peter worked for Greenhill & Co as an M&A analyst prior to joining L Catterton and he graduated from the University of Michigan with a BBA concentrating in finance. This summer, Peter interned for Two Sigma within its Fundamental Equities group.

Luke Thompson

Luke Thompson

Director of Research

Prior to Wharton, Luke worked as an associate at Staple Street Capital, a generalist private equity firm focused on complex transactions. While at Staple Street, he worked on buyout deals across aerospace and defense, healthcare, and consumer. Luke worked at Citi as a healthcare investment banking analyst before joining Staple Street, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in Economics. Over the summer, Luke interned at Marshall Wace in New York.

Mridul Dhanuka

Mridul Dhanuka

Director of Research

Prior to Wharton, Mridul was an Assistant Vice President at GIC in their Private Equity Team (Direct Investments Group), focused on investing in businesses across the Financial Services, TMT, Healthcare, and Consumer sectors. He began his career as an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group in their Financial Services practice. Mridul graduated with distinction from BITS Pilani with a major in Electronics Engineering and a minor in Finance. Over the summer (2023), Mridul worked with the Global Equities Team at Dodge and Cox in San Francisco. Mridul is a Dr. Bruce I. Jacobs Scholar in Quantitative Finance.

Sherry Li

Sherry Li

Chief Operating Officer

Prior to Wharton, Sherry worked as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse TMT group in Hong Kong, primarily covering Internet names. She also worked as an investment specialist at an electric vehicle startup, where she led pre-IPO fundraising projects. Sherry graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics. During the summer, Sherry worked as an equity research intern on the Global Equity Team at Artisan Partners in New York.

Sunny Huang

Sunny Huang

Before Wharton, Sunny worked at a family office where she focused on buyout acquisitions and growth investments across the TMT space. Prior to the buy side, Sunny was in investment banking at Credit Suisse. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Business Administration. Over the summer, she interned at ClearBridge Investments in New York.

Dan Burkhart

Dan Burkhart

Prior to Wharton, Dan worked at Flexpoint Ford, a private equity firm, where he served as an Associate. While at Flexpoint Ford, he worked on buyout deals across various healthcare sub-sectors. Dan worked at Credit Suisse as an industrials investment banking analyst before joining Flexpoint Ford, and graduated from James Madison University with a BA in Finance. Over the summer, Dan interned with T. Rowe Price.

Wenhuan Chang

Wenhuan Chang

Before Wharton, Wenhuan worked at Bilibili (NASDAQ: BILI, the largest online video-sharing community in China) as strategy & commercialization manager. He also spent 3 years at Bain & Company, covering tech & consumer sectors. He recently worked as a pre-MBA intern at Everest Growth Capital, a long-only equity fund. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and the University of California, Berkeley, with a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research. During summer 2023, Wenhuan interned at the Artisan Partners Sustainable Emerging Markets team in New York, focusing on emerging markets & ESG investing.

David Chen

David Chen

Prior to Wharton, David worked as an investment banking associate with Nomura in Hong Kong, covering the general industrials, infrastructure, and greentech sectors. He has advised billion-dollar clients in Greater China and Asia ex-Japan on $50b+ of equity, debt, and M&A deals. David graduated from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) with a BSc in Mathematics and Economics with First Class Honors (summa cum laude). During summer 2023, David was interning as a global generalist at Thornburg Investment Management in equity research in Santa Fe, NM.

Allison Liegner

Allison Liegner

Prior to Wharton, Allison completed a pre-MBA internship at T. Rowe Price in fundamental equity research. Previously, she was in the rotational program at Wellington Management where she spent time on the commodities team and the macro research team. Before that, she worked at an entrepreneurship through acquisition fund based in Boston. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a major in Economics and a minor in Ethics and holds the CFA designation. Over the summer, Allison was at Causeway Capital in Los Angeles.

Richa Sharma

Richa Sharma

Before Wharton, Richa was an Associate at Advent International (100B+ AUM buyout PE fund) in their Mumbai office. While at Advent, Richa was the lead associate for healthcare and industrial sectors. Prior to Advent, Richa worked as a Senior Associate with The Boston Consulting Group. She graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and is also a two time ‘All India rankholder’ Chartered Accountant. Over the summer, Richa interned at Anomaly Capital Management (L/S equity hedge fund) in New York.

Melody Xie

Melody Xie

Prior to Wharton, Melody worked at Nezu Asia Capital Management, a Tiger Cub hedge fund in Hong Kong, covering Japanese equities and Pan Asia Capital Markets. Before joining the buy side, Melody briefly worked on the sell side, at Nomura and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Melody graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Economics. Over the summer (2023), Melody interned at Fidelity Investments in Boston, MA.

Kevin Yu

Kevin Yu

Prior to Wharton, Kevin covered semiconductors and TMT at Cephei Capital, a Beijing-based long-only. Prior to Cephei, Kevin worked at a Tiger Cub hedge fund where he covered China as a generalist. Kevin graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Business Administration and minor in Computer Programming. During the summer, Kevin was at Wasatch Global Investors covering emerging market small caps.
