Mr. Tackney joined Greylock Capital in 2014 as Managing Director, Head of Trading. He has more than 15 years of experience working in emerging markets. Prior to joining Greylock Capital, Mr. Tackney was Senior Portfolio Manager for Emerging Market Corporate Bonds at Schroder Investment Management Limited where he was responsible for global EM corporate investments spanning the three major EM regions (LATAM, EMEA and Asia). From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Tackney traded Asian sovereign and corporate bonds at Credit Suisse. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Tackney was a portfolio manager at Black River Asset Management in the Emerging Markets Credit Fund, which he joined in 2005. At Black River Mr. Tackney focused on investment selection, strategic management, and trading of EM corporate securities across all EM regions (LATAM, EMEA and Asia). Previously, he worked at BlackRock Advisors where he was an Emerging Markets portfolio manager responsible for both external and local debt opportunities across all EM regions. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Tackney spent 9 years at TIAA-CREF, with over 6 years as an Emerging Markets portfolio manager, analyst, and trader of both sovereign and corporate securities.

Mr. Tackney received his MBA from New York University Stern School of Business in 1999 and a BA in Economics from Bucknell University in 1993. He received his CFA charterholder designation in 2002.
